Penzance Photography

Penzance is where I live and where a lot of the pictures start.The harbour, the promenade, the lane behind Penlee, St Michael’s Mount sitting there like it owns the bay. Most sessions don’t need a grand plan. We walk, the light does something useful, and I photograph what’s actually happening rather than what a location list said should happen.Couples, families, the occasional dog who refuses to look at the camera, people who want a portrait that still looks like them. Elopements that finish with a pint. Weddings that start in town and end up on the coast. All of it is easier when you don’t have to drive an hour first.Around here Harbour and Battery Rocks when the tide is behaving Promenade and the Mount for the obvious view that still works Mousehole if you want boats and less wind Marazion if you want the causeway and a bit of space Morrab Gardens or Penlee Park when the weather turns and you still want pictures
